Arrival in Los Angeles Visiting in Salt Lake City today. Sherrie and Roger were there to greet Roger and myself after the very minimal hassles at LAX.  Qantas flight attendants were real nice.  With Sherrie driving Richard and me, we have visited a shopping mall: same format as NZ with friendly staff.We are due to leave for a visit to their mountain property called Yucca Palace. We're going to Las Vegas, country dancing - actually Richard and I are visiting whanau:  Aunty Marie Cohen (Nicholas) and her son Genghis in Las Vegas - Roger and Sherrie and Rangi in Upland, California - my bridesmaid Pam and husband Craig in Salt Lake City and her sister Robyn and husband Bob in SLC, Utah.  Pam and Robyn are the Eriwata girls from Waitara.  If you were at Dad's tangi, you may have heard their Mum, Pat Eriwata pay her tribute to Mum and Dad as neighbours.  BTW, Elvis has agreed to Join Now as a member of our whanau. I will be a bit bereft without a computer.  I sent messages, via vodafone text, not to phone me, just text me!  I plain didn't want to get broke with the silent readers missing out on whanau contact and ringing me up to update news.  It comes down to everyone of you, to add your bit in the Anything To Discuss section. - Margret Emma has left her footprints in the sands of time. Olivia has a Photo Album The first photo of Olivia has been deposited.  There is a penportrait about her, under a folder name, 'Danny's Grandchildren', stored under Frederick Charles.  Get to know the eldest granddaughter of Danny and Nola. With a Hop and a Skip and One Giant Leap and now Chunnelled into Europe We hope to hear from Val and Malcolm as they enjoy the rigours of visiting Europe.  Some 19 years ago Darryn accompanied Mum on a three week trip to Europe.  Now it is Val and Malcolms experiences that we will learn about, hopefully soon. Hiya Family Am finally in London, wow  - so different to NZ.  Darryn and Julie live in a village called Shere, very pretty, like the story books and movies, with little country shops with a small stream with ducks sittting beside.  On the way to their house you have to cross a small ford - that was fun.  We have just flown from Bangkok where we were for 3 days, and in that time a highlight was to visit the Graves of the soldiers who died in the making of the railway up into Burma. So sad to see the conditions they had to endure. They ranged from 19-56 could be older or younger, but that was from our observations. We spent our time eating at road side traders, very cheap and very tasty.60 baht for rice and prawns which is about 20c.  But on the last night we splurged out and went to a specialist seafood cafe - and yes got we both got hell mission food poisoning - Yukkkk..  So  hopefully today there are plenty of toilets close by - lol. Well better go  - am off to the London Eye - is a lovely sunny day so will make the most of it. bye for now.
