In the SWIM of things - 200 m breaststroke NZ Junior Champion 2005 - Megan Fenton, sister of Jenny
Proud grandparent Danny has shared the wonderful news that his granddaughter Megan has triumphed in three events in breaststroke this day in the 50, 100 and 200 m breasstroke in the Auckland Junior Swimming competition. She has been recognised and is now a team member of the New Zealand Junior Squad.
Wayne is in Singapore this Sunday evening , October 16 and here he is with wife Jan and daughters. He has spent weeks in Sweden and he is a familiar visitor to the home grounds of Tetra-Pak. Megan, pink hoodie, has a strict training regime of six morning sessions and, I think, three evening training sessions.

House at Rona Road
It was a shock to read Jack's email first telling me about the torching of Rona Road. I thought, that out of the blue, his email was fantasy: I logged into website and lo and behold, there was the truth. Jack had expressed his view on what Rona had told us that the house had been torched.
Back in the land of milk and honey
Richard and I arrived back in Auckland to a gale and freezing cold weather. but, there's more, we have not lost any power. We'd have to call in Roger to fix it. Roger took us to a massive sub-station and listened to the buzz of 500kv line and the various bus's at the Mira Loma station. One of Roger's images of us makes Richard and I look like live exhibits of Madam Tussaud's Wax Works.
Val and Malcolm are due home with the last part of their journey including a stop in Hong Kong, sans luggage. Darryn sent a photo showing that they went on the Brighton Pier roller coaster - the photo has to be given official release before all can enjoy.
Postcard from Malcolm and Val to Sherrie and Roger - dated 27 September 2005
'Hiya,
Well, we are in Paris. It is truly beautiful. I am so amazed how lovely it is. Last night we went on a cruise on the River Seine - the lights are truly magical. Went up the Eiffel Tower today and have just been to the Louvre. You would all love this city. Tonight we go to a Follies' can can dinnner/cabaret.'
An email received 4 October sent by Darryn says that he has just seen Val and Malcolm off from London's Heathrow airport on their return journey to NZ.
