June 2006
June and it is said that May was the coldest recorded for 10 years. Brrrr!
On the 23rd Keegan Lodge gains his 20th birthday and his Nana Mona is due to celebrate with him and Dad Malcolm and brother Fraser whilst mother Val-Jane and sister Courtney fly off to warmer climes. Here we learn of the whanau birthdays:
Christian Fenton 3rd | Rona Crawford 8th |
Daniel Snooks 9th | Kingston Brands 11th |
Darryn Fenton 11th | Teri Crawford 17th |
Keegan Lodge 23rd | Verban Elkington 22nd |
Karl Makiha 1st | Rhonda Fenton 12th |
I have received an email from John Crawford, the grandson of Royce Adlam, daughter of Nana Fenton's eldest brother Edwin Arthur Adlam and his third wife, Clara Wallace. John lives in Wanganui and put out a whakapapa request just on two years ago and I only found it yesterday. He's quite excited about getting such a big boost to his search after patiently waiting for this long time. I am wondering if he is a relative of Teri, daughter of Rona and Gerald. Hey, Rona, is it likely?
Queen's Birthday
Weekend and the isobars are almost holding hands. Last weekend, Sunday, I joined Richard and fellow scooter enthusiasts at the old Meola Tip with its refined name of MOTAT 2. The keen scooterists who entertained us were hurtling around the grassed bunds and valleys racing their tiny little wheels. Those desperate riders who were willing to race furious had to deal with the cleaning up.
Val and Courtney are within the pack the suitcase and off for the summer hols ... over in England.
Hope you have a warm winter in NZ and those of our whanau overseas, send some warmth here.
Margret
