In a few weeks time Courtney and Val will be en route to England to visit Darryn and Julie in the village of Shere, Surrey.  Recently Adam, based in Ireland, was going to contact Darryn himself.  Will they all meet up?

You can key in someone's name, you can key in a name of a block, e.g. Matarikoriko and view the names of the owners.  This facility has been available for over a month.

Danny has sent in a photo of Uncle Fred and grandson Wayne.  Photo of Danny and cousin Jackie Sheehy at Westwave, Henderson, Auckland

The radio station host is talking with a guest about tea varieties - he is espousing about relaxing and having a cup of tea.  I am.  I'm also eating a friand cooked by the in-house baker, Aynsley.  I keep on telling her about the 'good old days' and when bakery goods, home-made, were primo.  During the mid-1960's Mum was a very hard-working wife who baked six dozen fancy cakes every Friday.  The Waitara Wrestling Club was the recipient of her hard work and delicious cakes for the weekly Card evening held at the St Patricks Catholic Hall.  Mum also produced scores of  club sandwiches.  What I appreciated was her diligence in being prepared to whip up a massive bowl of marshmallow for spreading onto the baked shortcake.  The first part of the part of the evening was for Euchre games, and then her fabulous supper was eagerly consumed before the final part which was Housie.  The hall does not exist: it was replaced, along with the convent, with the Sharrock's car business, and the co-operative store and the vets' premises.  I've finished the tea and the cake.

I await a message or photos from Danny and Nola.  Rona has been sharing the Eye of God image gleaned from the Hubble space Telescope site.

If you are a member of the family of  'Fentons of Waitara' and wish to Join Now, let me know who you are and you can share with us a sense of yourself.  Your contributions are welcomed.
