July Birthdays:

Four generations birthdays start with Aunty Ruby, age 86 years on 8 July; her daughter Rosalie's is on the 10 July;  grandniece Trish has her's on 17 July and her great-grandnephew Jonathan Gutschlag is on 5 July.  We heard from Val's message that a celebratory meal for Aunty Ruby, was held in New Plymouth.

A phone call, that's all, and Keegan, his Dad Malcolm, and myself saw Kingi and Gabby visiting the Square in Melbourne on their weekend trip from Auckland.  A huge screen on the face of one of the buildings was a viewcam of the visitors to the square.   Teri and family live in this fair city; maybe they can all turn up at the Square one day for a video-capture photo of them all?

What a very sad day in London with the  fatalities and injuries that resulted from the carnage. Darryn was contacted via text message after midnight NZ-time and his welcome reply was that he and Julie were okay.  Their planned-for weekend trip to London was postponed.

Well, Courtney Jane,  you look fabulous and I know that Mum and Dad are very proud of you.  Attending the New Plymouth Girls' High School Ball in 2005 is an occasion that you will remember with pride.  The basketweave hairdo shared with links of curls is the topnotch touch.  Styly, choice, primo, what other superlatives, eh!  You had a fabulous time.  In your own right, Welcome to the website as Lil_angel.

Here's news about your brother Keegan; he's been winning prizes.  Yesterday morning the postman delivered a parcel: it was a fabulous book by Ron Palenski on the All Blacks and Lions.  Keegan was a winning Sky customer.  Friday night he won a Controller, one of two in the country after he successfully answered questions relating to World Wars I and II and Vietnam; his late supper arrived at 11pm last night as a winner in his workplace competitions and two Pizza Hut pizza's were delivered.  He intends buying a Lotto for this weekend: if he did, he must have run off from the site of the LAN wars held at Green Lane.  The rooms containing hundreds of computers and teams of gamers was overwhelming.  Keegan said that the game war competition he played in, Battlefield 2, was incomplete and the final round to be arranged soon.  On the Saturday of the LAN wars I delivered his humungous equipment to the site; Richard came with me on Sunday and he too saw the rooms saturated with gamers and their equipment.  Then the two of us went downstairs and had breakfast with the remnants of the Barmy Army - Keegan had a game on.

The AlexandraPark raceway's trotting track had hundreds of motorcaravans lined up and hooked to services.  The organisation was well done.  The tie-up of the Barmy Army, the LAN gamers and the Yum cha restaurant ,where crayfish big enough to have saddles on them, made the complex hum.  We went back to the gamers and saw that Keegan had finished his 24hour non-stop competition.  He rode his scooter home and Malcolm visited with him for a few hours in the afternoon.  Malcolm's company has a construction job at Lake Waiwera and he is housed in nearby Orewa.  Regular trips to New Plymouth are part of the employment conditions.  The'naki calls.

Auckland experienced harsh weather during the first half of July and the Coromandel area is dealing with impassable roads to Pauanui currently.

Jack has set up his own family website called, TheMcDonaldFamily; so go and have a look.

Danny and Nola's granddaughter competed in waterpolo in Henderson early July weekend .  Prince William of Wales did start a waterpolo match at the pool complex a few weeks later.
