| December and already the Christmas Day has dawned in Auckland ...
There were many, many Santa Claus impersonators this morning when the parade wended its way around Herald Island. The real one was aboard his sleigh behind the Massey Ferguson tractor. Neighbours meet and wait outside their driveways ... you can see the family that had their seats lined up and a drinks bar set up alongside the road. Rose to the women and lollies given to the kids before Santa throws out his largesse. I got one of each. As we live down a right-of-way, we often just meet during this festive time. Birthdays starting with Tania Taylor, 1st; Christopher Snooks 17th; Nola Fenton 19th; Jack McDonald 19th; Marie Fenton 27th; Malcolm Lodge 26th, Cameron Woon 31st.
