New Year Best Wishes - 2003 has been a wonderful year and here is a recognition to he who has been acknowledged, rather aptly, by Jackie, as the Clanfather.  To he who calls himself DP, I have met the challenge and here it is.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN

I have known JACK McDONALD for a period of 18 months and have found him to be a very fine individual.  The qualities he has are many and the ones of loyalty and integrity are foremost.

He is an inspiring leader and, as such, has the ability to engender team spirit with well-thought out policies that encourages individuals to make their contributions comfortable in the knowledge that they will be appreciated.  This method of empowering people brings out productivity and a sense of achievement that produces results that are very encouraging to the people concerned.

Mr McDonald has a sense of humour and he knows when to lighten the moment with a top comment that provides a great understanding of the topic under disucssion.  Many of his peers, or colleagues, would testify that he keeps them well-informed with current policy.  He has an inate awareness that lines of communication keep people together in a cohesive working environment.

The work ethics of Mr McDonald are profound.  He shows willingness to travel and engage in dialogue with people in many walks of life.  His life's expriences have provided him with an empathy towards others; there are quotes from Rudyard Kipling's, If , that aptly apply to him, 'If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch, and the final line is appropriate too.

Mr McDonald has been up to the mark with modern business practice and he has mastered many skills and that includes ICT.  His level of expertise is such that he has trained many of his team in this technology and he keeps them up to date with a regular newsletter that encourages them to challenge themselves.

As a goodwill ambassador, Mr McDonald has played a valuable part in establishing a sense of family to members of his team that work and live in remote areas of the world.  He is in constant communication with them, offering advice and receiving their input with statesman-like fairness.  In turn, he will make many recommendations that brings about a result that fulfils the expectations of the many with whom he deals..

Mrs Donald, who encourages him to fulfill his ambitions by supporting him in any way possible, ably complements him in his endeavours.  He is to be congratulated on achieving a long and successful partnership, which in turn, benefits society with his considerate character.

I wish him well for the future and look forward to a long and continued association.

Yours sincerely

Margret H. Brands (Mrs)
