As everyone knows, the Lower half of the North Island have been having terrible flooding, resulting in many people having to be evacuated from their homes, live stock having to be herded up and taken to higher grounds, well right in the middle of all this, taking her position alongside other Members of the Rongotea Fire Brigade is Our  Cousin Vicki.Vicki is a very well respected Member of this Team, and she was called to duty with all these fine volunteers, they have spent long hard hours assisting people from their homes, getting them to safe accommodation at the Rongotea Hall, using all forms of transport, out there in the dark,no street lights to follow here as all power is down.In the meantime the water is creeping closer to her own home,.Having safely settled her two Children Ahumai and Nauatu with Friends,it was back to the job in hand of saving people and livestock, this our Vicki has done for many long hours, being sent home for a well earned break,to catch a couple of hours sleep when time allowed.I am hoping that Vicki may store all this in her memory so that we may all get the chance to read all about what happens in frightning times such as this, when you put your own life on the line to help others,Vicki, you are a bloody beaut Mate,we are all so proud of you and love you very much, and yes Vicki,we do want to read all about this,Arohanui,Jack and Mari
