Hi All, Have just posted the photos Jack took of Eugene when they met him at Brisbane airport. These and about three little "passport" size photos are all we have of his time spent in Oz! At the time 'other things' were more important than taking photos, and a cousin from Gerald's whanau had her camera there but it wasn't working properly. Thank you Jack for the photos - wonderful! |

Hi all,
Firstly, thanks Margret for the great 'front page' spread of Eugene. Warm fuzzies and a heart bursting with pride when I saw that. To Jack & Mari also, thanks for the lovely words. "A very tall, fine young man" was how they described him...............I wondered if they'd met the right person? Not really. Tall he is though!! Being 'vertically challenged', I can look directly at his shoulder as he stands next to me and affectionately pats me on the head! He thoroughly enjoyed his time over there, although their team went down 3 games to 2, with the last game being described as the "game of the tournament" (so he tells me), which they won 5-4.
I've headed this Mark II, because I sent a message a while ago but haven't seen it on the message board yet, and I'm wondering where the hell I've sent it. I'll blame the computer as we've been having a few problems with it. Right in the middle of something it either freezes, or it comes up with a little message saying there's a problem in "this or that" and is going to close. Damned annoying. Keep the cards & letters rolling in folks, it's good to read up on the happenings of the whanau!
Lotsalove

Yes Margret, that was Eugene in the Inline Hockey poster. Right at this time Eugene is in Brisbane playing Inline Hockey for the NZ 20 & Under Team v Australia. He flew out this morning and by now should be enjoying the warmer temperatures. Lucky thing! He will be there for eight days, and hopefully will get to meet Jack & Mari. We are very proud of both our kids and what they have achieved in their sports - as are all parents when their kids achieveKeep the good messages coming in people, it makes my day reading them.
Lotsalove to all.
Rona.
