2009 and here is the first entry for this New Year

Hello to the new site and here goes!

Last month Jack in Australia celebrated his 76th birthday and sent his pinup photo via email.  He doesn't seem to age.

This month will be the 79th birthday for Mum, aunty Mona.  She has been discussing having a Fenton reunion next year and is considering her 80th birthday and the unveiling for Hip.  cousin Danny has already received a preliminary information about the proposal but Mum declared that the event was to be in 1910.  I'm a bit worried as Danny rang up to make sure if the date was correct.

Danny has let me know that his granddaughter Megan has gained a third place in her national age group competition in swimming.  Megan is often doing her laps at the Henderson pool at the West Wave Centre.

Darryn and Julie have shared their engagement and to richard's delight Darryn made the proposal whilst on the pier at Brighton.  To Richard, a mod scooterist, this part of the world is a shrine to the riot of the Mods & the Rockers in the '60's.  Darryn is a scooter small frame owner as well as an owner of two racy motorbikes and a trials bike.  Methinks that Darryn has the two-wheel racing gene from the Fenton Brothers of Rona Road.

This is the first for the new website as a new journal/blog entry.  I had spent some furious days getting RSI in transferring one year's worth of messages from the soon-to-be defunct website.  What upset me was that there were many, many emails that contained contributions that made good reading for our Fenton family history.  If you have felt inundated with emails from a few years ago, there is method in my madness!

Love to you from this new communication stage.
