20 September 2004 Kingston is viewable on website: www.wpc2004.com His group is on the day's photos for 15 September, going to and from helicopter. The links between us were enlightened via videotape as Robin had JOEY'S A NANNY, says GrandAunt Rona. We are told of the celebrated arrival of the granddaughter of Joey and Lionel with the baby's nickname of Butterfly all of 7 lb. Read Rona's message for the exciting news in the Makiha household. IN AND OUT - Taranaki Base Hospital has Aunty Mona in for a stay and when released, Uncle Hip, goes in for a few days. Mum says that Val is learning Chinese in her spare time. Courteney, good to hear you're doing well. SKY-DIVING FOR GOLD Kingston phoned from Hungary this morning. He'd been swimming in the Danu (Danube) and he sounded older but definitely enjoying himself. New Zealand Skydiving 4-way team to the World Champs in Croatia has been training in Paihia and Mercer. Kingston is the team's camera flyer who flies around the team as they perform manoeuvres and records their skills for judging. Kingi has been training with them most weekends. The team have had the wind tunnel in Kuala Lumpur and did the equivalent of 140 jumps during 4 hours. The team members are: Richard Munro, Jamie Cardow, Attila Cszimadia, Lazlo Cszimadia and Kingston Brands with camera helmet. Australian National Radio Station challenges its listeners to the following question. 'Why would you not vote for Latham?' The answer comes from Jack (Ascot, Brisbane). 17% interest rates, record unemployment, record overseas deficit, Banana republic (imagine that, reader), the Depression we have; what we suffered when last we had a Labour Government. THE JOKESTER OF THE WEEK AWARD GOES TO... Radio 4BC has a listener also who contributes jokes. Who else but Jack of Ascot, Brisbane. Jack phones or sends emails and shares his jokes with hosts John and Ross. Jack will often talk on various topics with the hosts but the hosts have rated jack's jokes highly and have made them available for their listeners. WHERE ON EARTH DO OUR COUSINS TURN UP? Korea, for one is the destination of Danny's son, Wayne. After visiting the Far East, three hours away from Seoul, Wayne will be travelling to the home of the TetraPak founders in Sweden. Danny will be playing a role in the Belmont Intermediate school camp for his granddaughter, Megan, in a couple of weeks. Megan will be improving on her swimming times during the camp and playing other sports too. We wish Wayne a successful and enjoyable trip to Korea and Sweden; to retire(d) Granddad a great time with Megan. |
September is the time to celebrate the birthdays of our cousin Danny, 7th September the Lovable Larrikin who lives on the Hibscus Coast, and for cousin Teri who lives in Melbourne, on 18 September. Danny will need a fire extinguisher to put out the candles on his retirement birthday cake. Richard went to see Danny, during the final lunchtime at Danny's workplace, having to wait until Danny had parked his Mercedes first, to wish him a happy retirement
