2004 August Last of the Cornbread Madness by Rona

From: rona  (Original Message) Sent: 26/08/2004 1:12 p.m.
I sat at work a-thinkin
Which I sometimes often do
I shouldn't really do that though
'Cause it gets me in the poo

I let my mind a-wander
And to Cornbread it did turn
I think I got that first one wrong
The texture was probably wrong, it wasn't crumbly
Enough, I had the wrong container to cook it in.
Maybe I shoulda used ordinary milk?
(You thought it was going to rhyme didn't you?)
Oh well, it didn't burn.

But never fear my family
Life with me is never dull (I hope)
Although there are times that everyone has
Where you go thru little lapses of concentration
And wander off on diversions that are neither
Here nor there.
Where you just have a little lull
(in your life)

So, Hail to the Cornbread
Who's inspired me to tell
You all a silly story
And some poetry as well

And with that dear firends I"ll leave you
Another challenge I shall do
I might even have a go
At making some Gumbo Stew!

To go with my cornbread of course!

Dear Cousin Rona, You are truly gifted! Please keep it up !
Corn or Poetry, I'm sure you will create or stir some of us up?
Love to all,
Danny

Dear Cousin,

Clever little rhyme, and I still haven't made it to the stove! Looks like you're on your own to continue the culinary saga!

Love, Sherrie
