Dear Jack and Mari
It was freezing on the Island this morning and the fog enveloped the whole place with the curtain starting on the causeway. The Whenuapai fields were almost snowlike; our temp 4 degrees. I had the pleasure ot seeing a wonderful photo sent by Debbie Bailey of her family at, I think, the wedding party of her brother Michael.
I heard from Brenda last week before I went off to a meeting on how to make submissions at the Environment Court. Brenda is a lively conversationalist.
We had a phone call from Darryn last night to tell us that an NZ tv program featured a property down the road to be re-constructed. He later sent a text message saying that he was on jury duty in New Plymouth and could he and Julie come to dinner next Sunday and they bring a pudding. They bring yummy puddings.
Now that my avid watching of Big Brother has come to an end, I'll have to learn how to cook again as Richard did the chore and avoided hearing our comments about the tv show.
So, you see, this icy-fingers keyboarder is telling you that she can tap the keys, one-at-a-time.
Love from the wintered north
Margret
PS Look at the NZHerald website of a few days ago in the Real Estate section (online) and see two properties featured on Ferry Parade

Dear Sherrie
Clever Rangi for taking a lovely photo of you and the girls. You once said that the Enchanted Forest was similar to the Festival of Lights held at Pukekura Park. Did you go during the nighttime?
I heard from Aynsley that Darryn and Julie will be UK bound but no clue about being able to visit you all. Quite exciting for them and for you too.
I once saw Mr Getty, back in 1974 when he attended the annual Crufts Dog Show. He was a few inches away, a couple of feet really, and he was accompanied by a very tallll lady.
Love from the mangroved islander.
Margret

Hi, Margret!

How surprising that you met JP Getty, you are full of surprises! The Enchanted Forest closes at 7 pm usually. Doesn't make much sense since the sun stays up until 9 pm in summertime! We are trying not to get too excited, but it would be a highlight of our summer to see Darryn and Julie. Our family here would love to meet them as well. But we understand about itineraries and just wish them a wonderful trip. It's swinging London, baby!!!! Say hi and give our love to all.

Sherrie
