Hi, Jack and Mari!

We are still on the radar screen out here in California, and I want to thank you for all of your words of congrats to Roger for his well-earned Professional Engineer certification. We are doubly proud of him for the great job he is doing in his new position at Edison, seems they are giving him the means to really shine and he is doing top performance, a good time for the PE credential to be added to the list. Rangi and I have just returned back from a visit to Oregon to see our his sisters Jamie, Sarah and Mary, and little Lakiah and Sebastian. Always wonderful to hang out with them. Even went to some yard sales with Sarah to look for baby clothes, as she is expecting her first child December 27 of this year.

Thank you for your fourth of July greeting, so cute! The high school at the end of our street puts on a fireworks display that can be seen perfectly from our back yard, so we are putting on our 3rd annual fireworks/barbeque for family and friends this Friday. Rog and I work well together whenever we get ready for company, and for such a small place we can handle quite a large crowd. Weather here is hot, as expected for July, so no hibernation here...

Love to you both, and keep enjoying the sunshine!

Love, Sherrie & Roger and Rangi

Dear Sherrie,Roger and Rangi,
Sherrie your letters are an absolute delight to receive, your letters are always just so full of interesting activities and the way in which you detail these stories are topline. That would have been a pretty long drive to Oregon which you and Rangi have just completed, well done Mate.It is so good to read how a Young Kiwi is taking full advantage of the opportunities put to him by the Edison Company,he has done the hard work, put in long hours of study and has made every post a winning post, this he could not have done without the full support of his lovely Wife and Son,you guys are a real credit to the Whanau.Have a great 4th July, enjoy the party that you will once again be hosting for your friends and Family, lots of love to you all,Mari and Jack

Dear Hibernation Bearers
It is cold here in Auckland and Kingston has returned from a four day sojourn in Turangi with his friends driving some 1000 km in the van. After making decisions for himself driving Auckland-Rotorua-Taupo-Turangi-Whakapapa skifields and back to Turangi-Taupo-Turangi again and back to Auckland. Trips to hot pools and boat ramps and providing halogen lamp direction to friends on the lake when their outboard conked out and had to 'row the boat ashore' in the dark. I've stayed by the fire as much as possible or hugged a hottie.
Sherrie's journey to and from Oregon is an odyssey she undertakes annually and it is interesting to read of her adventures. Kia kaha, Sherrie.
To cousins, nga hau e wha, write in to let us know how your winter is getting on.
Love from Margret
