Two brothers representing NZ, the NZ Army in particular. A message received from Darcy Nicholas about the webpage: 'Thanks for that, that is really great history. I remember Ike clearly as a very find well spoken person. I was only a kid but he left a fine impression. I did not know his full military background but understand more clearly why he was such an impressionable person having looked through the web site.' It is a tribute to Uncle Ike recalled by Darcy who lived a few paddocks away over in Matarikoriko Road. Darcy lived opposite the Hungaririki Marae and the nearby lands were part of his playground. |
